Prayer
The ministry of Life Abundant will be successful in reaching men and women for Christ if God’s people will pray. We are exhorted to pray with supplications, intercessions and giving thanks for the souls and hearts of men. “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers.” 1Peter 3:12.
The Word of God is proclaimed through our weekly Bible studies and individual mentoring opportu-nities. Forty five to sixty men and ten to fifteen women hear the Word each week and Satan tries to blind their minds and hearts to its truth. He places spiritual darkness upon their understanding so they can’t understand its truth. Pray the Spirit of God will enlighten their minds so they can under-stand implications. Pray that God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, will shine his light of truth into the darkness of despair, fear, and hopelessness. In John 17:9, Jesus said, “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are mine.” He is referring to those individuals the Father has given Him out of the world. Pray for the souls of inmates which are ripe. Pray for our volunteers that God will protect them from sin who proclaim the gospel to inmates and ex-offenders. Pray for the prison staff and those in authority at Bucks County Prison. Pray that the Word will pierce the soul, spirit, and hearts of inmates and judge the thoughts and intents of their hearts. Pray that God will always receive all glory and honor in and through the min-istry of Life Abundant. Pray God will encourage more volunteers to become mentors, for the need is always great. We look forward to the new year and going forward in the POWER of God. Re-member, “Be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
